Best Bet - (3) A LA MODE SEELSTER - Race 6
Spot Play - (1) MACHARITA – Race 10
20-cent Early Pick 4 – Race 3 – 1,3/6/5,8/3 - $.80
20-cent Late Pick 4 – Race 7 – 3,5,7/1,2,3/1,8/1,4 - $7.20

Race 1 - (3) SHEILAS BRUSH steps up to face older foes this week for the second time in her career.  She is a leaver, and even showed a strong ability from the outside last out.  I like her chances tonight.  (8) LATTE SEELSTER is another speedy filly, that gets the dreaded outside post.  I expect her to leave and try to control the pace early.  (9) BUTTERCUP WILL is a consistent filly that has shown a good amount of promise at Flamboro.

Race 2 - (1) MACHO MARTINI was interfered with before making a break at Woodbine Mohawk Park last out.  He was making a big move in that start before the interference.  Clearly will be the best in this class tonight.  (8) FASHION FRENZIE is another colt that made a break in his last start.  He is one of just a couple of horses in the field who has had experience over a half-mile track.  (2) SWEET SOUL DAVID won two straight at Hanover Raceway before a game fourth place effort at Mohawk.

Race 3 - (3) BRODYS SCRAPPER didn’t get the best trip from post eight last week, but he did pass a few horses through the stretch.  The connections add Lasix back to this gelding who has won four of his last six starts.  (1) AMERICAN WIGGLE is turning the corner at just the right time having put together a string of nice efforts as of late.  The inside draw gives him a big advantage to flash speed.  (4) YS LOTUS is a gelding that likes to hit the board at decent odds.  Look for him to be rolling late and don’t leave him off the ticket.

Race 4 - (6) CAJON THOMAS adds Colin Kelly to the bike tonight, a key driver change this week. Pitch his start last week where he was parked the mile. (2) FACE OF WAR steps up in class after winning two of his last three starts.  He draws well and could add value to the exotics tonight.  1) C L SPORTACTION draws inside for the first time in a while, but he is typically a deep closer and while he likely won’t be leaving from the rail, he should make his presence felt late.

Race 5 - (8) NAKED CITY draws tough towards the outside tonight, but has done well at Flamboro in recent starts.  He has speed and can also close if he gets into a good spot early.  (5) MADETOBEKING has been off almost two months following a win at Grand River in August. If he is 100%, I like him underneath.  (9) WINDSONG GRAYSON won from a near impossible spot last time out.  The second tier gives him a decent chance to make the ticket.

Race 6 - (3) A LA MODE SEELSTER adds Colin Kelly and is my Best Bet of the night after hitting the board in two of three starts in the Prospect Series.  She is a speedy filly who has had some success against older before.  (9) CABERNET is a closer who can race from just about anywhere.  The biggest concern I have for this filly is that she won’t be following speed off the gate.  (5) SOUTHWIND MARITIME has struggled with the post draw as of late.  She is a consistent filly who always seems to make her presence felt.  (2) RETICENT HANOVER has only made two starts since the end of July, this would normally concern me, but she is facing much easier than she faced last out.  (8) SOMETHING ROYAL faces an easier field this week, and at big odds could spice up the Super Hi-5.

Race 7 - (7) HARD ROCK draws outside again for the fourth time in seven starts.  He is one of the more consistent horses in the field, and will most likely be rolling late in the mile.  Definitely a player this week.  (3) MASTER SMILE is another consistent gelding, who has shown a lot of promise against this claiming class.  (5) REBEL SOLDIER has hit the ticket in three of his last four starts, all at big odds. He presents a lot of value here.

Race 8 - (3) WINDSONG OLYMPIA steps up in class, while getting some much-needed post relief.  She gets a driver change tonight to Paul Mackenzie.  (1) P L LIGHTNING had to come three-wide off the turn last week, but still managed to make a big move to close to be third only missing by a little more than a length.  She is in a very good spot tonight.  (2) HER OWN LAND is a speedy mare who will most likely be going to the front early setting the pace.

Race 9 - (1) MACHCELLERATOR improved in his last start, he clearly does his best work when on or near the lead. I like him from the inside tonight. (8) GOUDA HANOVER is a nice gelding who has gotten along well with Travis Cullen since he took over two starts back. He is a closer. (5) REDWHITEANDBOOTS has been up and down as of late, look for him to improve tonight with Kelly back in the bike.

Race 10 - (1) MACHARITA finally gets a decent draw this week after some tough trips in recent efforts.  She will provide value to exotics.  (4) KAYS SHADOW has been up and down racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park.  It’s clear she gets over the half-mile track better, look for her to improve this week.  (3) LYDI LULA BELLE is another mare that gets some much-needed post relief tonight.  She has a little bit of speed to work with.  (5) FADING SHADOW could drop and pop at bigger odds tonight from post five.  (2) BETTYS BAY adds Colin Kelly to the bike once again this week, after a tough trip from post eight last out.  I’m looking for her to improve tonight.
