Best Bet - (2) SOUTHWIND BAYOU - Race 8
Spot Play - (6) FIVE MORE MINUTES - Race 1
20-cent Early Pick-4 – Race 3 - 2,5,7/2,5,9/1,3/2,8 - $7.20
20-cent Late Pick-4 – Race 7 - 4,9/2/3/2,5 - $.80

Race 1 - (6) FIVE MORE MINUTES is a little bit of a hunch play for me.  It’s a song I love and something I wish I could have with someone special who just passed.  She draws outside against tougher, but has been known to leave from here.  (3) PREMIER BETTINA put in a pair of qualifiers that could be good enough to beat this group.  She could be a player making her first lifetime start.  (4) SO ADMIRABLE is a consistent filly who has been in the money regularly of late.

Race 2 - (2) GODROTOUCHTHEMOON enters off of a game victory at Clinton, putting up some pretty nice speed figures.  She has good speed and will most likely be leaving from here.  (7) LITTLE MARY made an uncharacteristic break at Grand River last out, pitch that start, she could rebound.  (5) LETSHAVEONMORE went to the lead in her last start at Kawartha and tired badly through the stretch.  She tries a new surface tonight.

Race 3 - (2) CEASELESS has done some great things since adding Colin Kelly to the bike on July 28.  She draws into a good spot and should be able to handle herself against this group.  (7) BIRD DOG enters off a two-race win streak, but the post is a bit of a concern.  She has been known to close from off the pace before; maybe.  (5) JMR MACH MEL was narrowly beaten last week. She raced much better than the line shows. Look for her to be closer and improve tonight with a better trip.

Race 4 - (5) GODY DORLEANS takes a pretty big step back in class tonight for trainer Garry MacDonald after a tough go of things at Grand River.  He is a versatile gelding, and should be able to produce a bit of a price.  (9) KINGSLEY B comes off Lasix this week, with a decent draw in the second tier.  The class relief also makes this gelding dangerous.  (2) L WEATHER B will most likely be bet down, for good reason.  He was narrowly defeated in his first start back of the year, he could be fit, I just have a hard time taking a short price on only his second start of the season.

Race 5 - (3) LADYLIKE has won three of her last four starts for trainer Richard Moreau and doesn’t show any signs of letting up.  I like her tonight.  (1) ACEFORTYFOUR PAT enters off a game front-stepping victory last out.  She does her best work when on the front, something she should be able to do from the rail.  (4) SMOKE N REACTOR N adds Lasix for the first time tonight, she has shown some promise through her short career.  Let’s see what she can do here.

Race 6 - (2) HALLSGLENMAVIS has won three of her last four since coming back from a sick scratch.  She has speed and draws into a great spot against this field, don’t count her out.  (8) DREAMADREAMFORME didn’t get the best trip against Grassroots company last out.  Pitch that start and look for her to improve against easier company.  (5) SATDNITE JUKEBOX seems to be rounding into form since adding Scott Coulter to the bike four starts back.  She has speed and will be battling early.  (4) WATCH MY SPEED is another versatile filly who shows a good amount of promise in a very tough field.  (1) IN LAND BEACH steps up to face tougher, but should be able to make the ticket underneath.

Race 7 - (9) MACKS THREE gets Travis Cullen back in the bike tonight for trainer Jay Cochlin.  He didn’t get the best trip last week against tougher company, definitely a player here.  (4) PUDDIN PIE has been a pick of mine recently at Grand River for good reason.  He is a consistent gelding who is always tough and fights hard throughout the entire mile.  (1) TOMORROWS HEADLINE looks to improve off a tough effort from the outside at Georgian last week.

Race 8 - (2) SOUTHWIND BAYOU has been no worse than second in six starts racing all over Ontario.  A gutsy filly, she can race from anywhere, she should win this race as my Best Bet of the night.  (5) HIGH ROLLER DUKE has won two straight including a leg of the Prospect Series.  She has speed and will be close throughout.  (8) J M BETTING HEARTS could be the wild card underneath tonight.  She is a filly who likes to come from off the pace and usually makes the ticket.  I like her at a price.

Race 9 - (3) ACEFORTYFOUR DOME has won three of her last six starts and only missed the board in the same amount of time.  I don’t see her getting beat against this group.  (6) NEW WRITER draws tough this week, hard to say what she will do second off the layoff.  If she minds her manners, she should make the ticket.  (1) COCO BEACH DE VIE gets major class relief coming in from Woodbine Mohawk Park.  Look for her to improve off recent efforts.

Race 10 - (2) HELLO CHIPPER looks like a strong contender to lead the Super Hi-5 ticket.  She has won four of her last five and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.  (5) EXCELLENCE is a consistent mare who has had to deal with the outside draws as of late.  She is in a much better spot here and should improve.  (9) LEGEND WITHIN gets a little bit of class relief this week, I like him at a price.  (1) WINGS OF BALLYKEEL gets some class relief coming in from my neck of the woods, Northfield Park.  (3) WILMA C didn’t get the best trip from the outside last week, look for her to be better tonight.
