Best Bet –  (8 ZOYSIA – Race 7
Spot Play  - (3) SILVER SUNRISE – Race 5
Pick 4 Play  (.20 cents, Races 4-7): 3, 7, 9 / 1, 3, 6, 7, 13 / 1, 3, 9 / 8 = $9.00

Race 1 – (7) EXCEED has been in three stakes races since his maiden win at 5 furlongs on Tapeta and he has not had any late power but the blinkers come off for a 2-turn main track race. (3) DOWNLOAD hasalso  been mixing it up in stakes company since his maiden win and in the Cup and Saucer, the pace was very slow and he had no chance to catch up. He moves over over to the Tapeta for this allowance/optional claiming race for juveniles following a good workout time on the training track. (1) DERKEII earned a solid Beyer Figure of 75 when he won his maiden on grass last time but he has shown closing power in Tapeta sprints and is a contender to double up. (4) KNIGHT KINGDOM won his maiden around 2 turns on the inner turf and exits the fast Display Stakes.

Race 2 – (8) JACKS ESCARPMENT has not been seen since last year when competing in much higher-level races. He has tons of back class and has been working steadily for the Martin Drexler barn which won three races last week including one off a year-long layoff. (7) BUTLERS PICK is a classy old guy who makes his 3rd start of the year and returns to Woodbine where he is 4 for 8. (1) MAJESTIC SLEW has been traded about this year but was in too high last time and he faded. He is at the bottom $5,000 claiming level for the first time. (6) SLIP KID dropped to this level last time and won by inches, his 17th career victory.

Race 3- Tough luck for (2) ELEANOR POWELL last time in a turf maiden sprint as she was in a world of trouble and two starts back she had a very wide trip. She is a big gal who should enjoy the route distance on Tapeta. (7) SHANGHAI BOUND was a good second in her only try in a route race on Tapeta and came close to winning last time in a sprint behind a filly who came back to win again. (9) AMPLIO ESQUEMA invaded from Maryland when she has been in the top five in her seven races on turf and dirt. (6) FREEDOM MACHINE was a clear second the last time she tried a main track route race.

Race 4 – (9) HOITY TOITY had speed in her lone Tapeta try at 9 furlongs for $40,000 claiming and beat half the field. She is now in for $5,000 maiden claiming and sprinting 5 1/2 furlongs. (7) REDHAIR N FRECKLES was a clear second behind a front running debut runner last time and is improving. (3) QUEEN LICIA was behind 'Freckles' when they met last time but she had a stumble at the start. (11) TRAIL BLAZING ESSA has placed four times in the top three this year and drops to the bottom maiden level.

Race 5 – (3) SILVER SUNRISE looked sharp in her workout for that juvenile sale in Maryland but debuted on turf against maiden allowance fillies. She switches to Tapeta and is offered for claiming. (7) THREATLEVELMIDNITE (GB) was a $75,000 Tattersalls yearling and races for high profile owners in the US. She was second in a quick race at Presque Isle Oct. 19. (1) ROSA'S SOUL, from the hot Steven Chircop barn, comes out of a quick race at this class level and she was a good third.  (13) KENTUCKY FAN is worth a long look if she draws in from the also eligible list as she would be returning to a sprint distance. Also consider (6) LEAVE IT WITH ME was not far behind Rosa's Soul when they met Oct. 25.

Race 6 – That was quite a second career race for (3) DASHI who won by 4 lengths in a good clocking for $15,000 maiden claiming fillies. She has a chance to double up against this field and so does (9) FRAME THIS, who won by more than 8 lengths on the class drop to $10,0000 for her first Tapeta sprint. (1) THIS ROUND'S MINE is making just her third start of the year and she was unlucky to win her latest after a summer layoff. Trainer Ian Black subs for suspended Catherine Day Phillips. (8) FROST DANCE is better on grass but seems to handle the Tapeta and she won her maiden at this class level.

Race 7 – (8) ZOYSIA came up for trainer Mike Stidham on the weekend to get ready for her Woodbine debut and she was a recent maiden winner at Presque Isle on the all weather surface. Nicely bred filly is offered for just $10,000 claiming. (7) GET OFF MY TAIL drops in class and gets back to her preferred surface (Tapeta) for new trainer Rodney Barrow. (9) ROLLING SLOAN won her maiden for $40,000 not long ago and tumbles in class and returns to the Tapeta off a fast workout time. (5) BENEVIDA has been third 4 times in her 6 races this year and she is close to a win.

Race 8 – (9) TOTALLY PERFECT is one of several possibilities in the low level filly and mare race. She returns to a one-turn race and the price for which she was claimed. (1)  SAVVY'S SISTER drops to the bottom claiming level  and as long as she can save something for the last furlong, will be in the hunt. (5) JOAN'S CHRISTINE just won her maiden at this claiming price and is a contender with her confidence high. (8) PETITE AMI does not break well from the gate and that has compromised her chances this year but she can be in the superfecta.
