Best Bet –  (2) THEREGOESJOJO – Race 2
Spot Play  -  (7) HIGH SOCIETY GIRL – Race 6
Pick 4 Play  (.20 cents, Races 4-7) :  6, 7, 9 / 2 / 1, 2, 3, 7 / 1, 4, 6, 8 = $9.60

Race 1 – (7) FRENCH CHARM tumbles in class after a good try in a 5 furlong turf dash and she gets the same distance and surface except against easier. Note that the winner of her latest  came right back to win again. (6) ROCHE'S POINT is a big threat to the top pick in this fourth start of the season. She won at this distance on this course last year and is coming into top form. (1) PURPLE SCOOTER earned a decent Beyer Figure of 64 two starts back on the turf when she set the pace at 6 furlongs. (2) WORDS OF GOLD comes off her maiden win for just $5,00 claiming and she has some grass breeding.

Race 2 – (8) CAUSE FOR ALARM gets the nod is this weak race for $5,000 claiming as he is racing at the low level for the first time and  it was not long ago when he was second at this distance on the Tapeta (July 17). (7) DENMARK was ravelling a bit further in his latest against slightly better and he fits in this field nicely. (4) MY LADIES' MAN won his maiden at 85 to 1 last time in an 8-horse field, dropping to $5,00 claiming for that 3rd career race. Most of his rivals have been in drab form so he rates a look. (10 DOUBLE THE HEART gets blinkers for the first and tries a route distance so he figures to be zooming to the lead early to try and steal it.

Race 3- Two-year-olds at 5 furlongs on the turf is a bit of a guessing game but the first crop of Ontario sire Reload have come out impressively so (1) SUMMER LOAD is worth considering in his debut. (4) DR. JEWEL had chasing speed for a bit in his 7 furlong debut and the shorter distance plus his grass breeding makes him interesting. (5) MUSIC TRIBUTE is by a sire who loved turf and this guy has been leading in his early races and may stick around for a share. (7) FIRST PRINCE is a nicely bred guy from Alberta who lures Rafael Hernandez to ride.

Race 4 –The Pick 4 wager stars here with a maiden race at 1 1/16 miles on Tapeta and (9) VIATURE looks strong based on his second outing of the season when closing to be fourth in a sprint. He gets a big class drop to maiden claiming.  (6) GRAZELY came from 11th to be 5th in the Elgin yearling sale stakes at a sprint distance and returns to maiden claiming. (7) UNION APPRECIATION was a decent 4th in his second race of the year and since then he was in a pace battle in a longer race and then on grass. (3) BLUE SNOW will have blinkers removed for his return to the main track and perhaps he can save his best for the latter stages.

Race 5 – The marathon turf series concludes with this 1 5/8 mile turf event and (2) THEREGOESJOJO just won the most recent leg of the series at 12 furlongs. (7) ARTISTICO defeated the top pick 2 starts back at 10 furlongs but the longer distances have been troublesome for this hard trying guy. (5) PEACE SEEKER loved getting back on the turf last time and she beat her own kind at 1 3/8 miles in fine fashion. (6) INSIDER TRADING met tougher in his latest and landed on the edges in a good finish.

Race 6 –  (7)  HIGH SOCIETY GIRL had big speed second time out and now gets blinkers so she figures to be really motoring along from the start. She is the one to catch. (2) FOR MY ELBI gets her blinkers back after she was a bit outrun in her latest when favoured but she was making a sharp distance change that day. She should be all set to break through. (3) SILENT SISTER raced wide and was up to get 2nd from the top pick in her career debut. (1) SPEEDY LYNN has had a number of good workouts times going back to July and is by a top sire of debut winners.

Race 7 – Classy 9-year-old (1) FLORIDA WON has been 2nd in all four races this year so he is a bit tough to take on the win end. The good news is, he moves out to 9 furlongs and that gives him lots of time to catch up. (6) FRANKIE BARONE is fresh with just 3 races this season and he has won on this turf course and could wake up for his first top three placing of the year. (4) LAPOCHKA has been in super form all year and remains on the short list of contenders. (8) KING AND HIS COURT returns to the $20,000 claiming level and that brings him into contention.

Race 8 – (1) POLAR APPEAL has a tricky post in a big field of juveniles but she has had some good workout times for the Kevin Attard barn and most of these are beginners like her. (7) CALIFORNIA LILY is a quick one who worked a speedy one furlong in 10 1/5 for a sale in July in Oala. She is by the great California Chrome (and this gal has a a white face and legs like her daddy) and her mum was a graded stakes winner. (2) FEW REGRETS has trained in good clockings and is a half sister to stakes winner Bangkok and debut winner Worlds Your Oyster. (8) NORTHERN DIAMOND was second in her career debut with an inside run and she has worked quickly twice since then.
