Best Bet –  (4) IN A TWIST – Race 7
Spot Play –  (4) RED RETURN – Race 8
Pick 4  (.20 cents, Races 4-7) :    3, 5, 6, 8  / 4, 6, 10 , 11  / 5, 6 / 4, 6, 10 = $19.20
Late Pick 4 (.20 cents, Races 8-11):  2, 4, 6, 7 / 5, 6, 7, 8 / 5, 6 / 4, 9, 10, 15 = $25.60

Race 1 –  Any races scheduled for grass could be moved to the Tapeta if there is a lot of rain today.  (1) NANTUCKET RED, bought by Colebrook Farms at auction this past winter, drops out of stakes races and gets back to the turf and has a good chance to get back on the winning track. (3) ROSEBUD'S HOPE went too fast in her Woodbine debut on the Tapeta, a race that came off the turf. She is a 6-time turf winner. (6) ABOVE ALL NAMES had a big race off the layoff when she won on the inner turf. Her last two starts have been troubled. (5) A BROKEN BREEZE has been vastly improved winning her last pair on the Tapeta and she likes turf.

Race 2- (2) NERO DAVOLA is a talented 2-year-old filly who was winning her career debut before she spooked and hit the rail. She propped in her next race and then had a good try on the turf last time. She should be all set. (1) FOR MY ELBI was second in the Muskoka yearling sales stakes last time when leading late as the favourite. The blinkers come off. (8) SILENT SISTER has had a lot of sharp workout times for Mike Doyle and she is by Silent Name, who gets a good rate of 2-year-old winners. (4) LIVIN ON LUV is another by top Canadian sire, Silent Name (Jpn), and this gal had a sizzling workout Aug. 19 getting ready for this career debut.

Race 3-  (7) CORRELATE is a first time starter by Tiznow and from a mare who is a half sister to graded stakes winning Tiz a Slam (also by Tiznow). Nice workout times and  could win this debut at 1 mile. (2) MASTER SPY has been going very short distances to begin his career and he will try a one mile grass race off his latest 2nd place finish in the Victoria Stakes. He is bred to handle the distance. (1) BIDE'S TIPSY is a longshot play for exotics as he had a troubled start in his debut outing and has nice breeding and prep times. (3) MT LOGAN has been second in two starts including his latest sprint on the turf.

Race 4- The first Pick 4 wager begins here and if race stays on the turf (8) DELIGHTFUL DREAMER adds blinkers, drops in class and ran a super race on the inner turf last year against some good ones. She has only tried grass once at Woodbine since then. (5) SKY DRAGON has run well on the turf although this 1 1/16 mile distance might be a bit long for her. (6) CALL HER JOEY has not made things easy on herself with wide trips and slow starts but she is in the mix. (3) PIPESTONE had trouble in her only grass race and deserves another chance.

Race 5 – This is a big field going 6 furlongs on turf although there is rain in the forecast. (6) WAVE WARNING has run well in both starts this year and he has had been working steadily in the last month for trainer Darwin Banach. (4) THE REIGN MAN has never trued grass but is by Old Forester who loved turf. This guy appears to be sitting on a win and if the race is moved to the main track, all the better. (10) AGNELLI returns to a sprint and gets his blinkers back. Not sure if he is in love with grass but he was not far from the top pick 2 starts back on the Tapeta. (11) ZOOMER MUSIC likes a grass sprint and is one to consider on the class drop.

Race 6 – This is another grass race and whatever surface it is on the streaking (6) LAPOCHKA is going to be tough again. He has won three of his last four with big Beyer Speed Figures. He has won as many races this year as he has in other previous years combined. (5) KID'S MISCHIEF had a good rally in his latest on the inner turf and is on that course again. He also won a previous race on the Tapeta. (7) COLTON'S CORNER has won 2 straight races on the inner turf and climbs up in class again. (8) DEEP FREEZE is a classy old timer who drops back down in class and is a speed threat.

Race 7 – Six furlongs on the grass for $25,000 claimers and (4) IN A TWIST returns off a win on the main track when claimed for this price and he handles grass too. (6) CONQUISTADOR is a speedy type who drops back down to the claimed price. (10) TRICKY MAGICIAN likes both surfaces and he shortens up for a sprint for the first ime since 2018 and that may work well for him. (5) ELEKTRONIC is back in a week after a good try on the main track and both of his wins came on turf.

Race 8 – (4) RED RETURN drops sharply for his 2nd race of the year and he has come close to winning his maiden. (2) BORN TO BE KING has had 11 chances to win his maiden but shortening up from 7 to 6 furlongs should work out well for him. (6) MR WILL had a solid debut outing but was in a very fast race last time and he drops in class. (7) BACHELOR PAD drops in class and he had nice speed in his second career race.

Race 9 – (5) JLOHR JAN  is getting closer to her maiden victory. This race is scheduled for grass and she is okay for that surface but her latest outings have been good on Tapeta. (6) MARAIS debuted in April in Florida on turf and was slow early but the late pace was quick and she beat a few rivals. (7) HOITY TOITY gets blinkers and shortens up slightly in distance and may lead for a long time. (8) ELEANOR POWELL is getting into the groove and had a big run on the Tapeta last time in a long sprint. She is bred for grass.

Race 10 – (6) SILENT CAUSEWAY missed by a nose in the Algoma yearling sales event last time and came back to her big Beyer range from her maiden win. Has to avoid the bounce off such a hard race. (5) TWIRLING FAITH just won her maiden for $40,00 claiming and is back for that price. The one she beat last time came back to win the Algoma Stakes over the top  pick. (3) A BRIDGE TOO FAR ships in for the Casse conglomerate and she is offered for claiming for the first time. (2) LA CHAUFFEUR drops to claiming and she has been in the top three nine times in her 14 races.

Race 11 – (10) IRVING had a messy trip last time and gets a big class drop to maiden claiming. He can handle turf or Tapeta. (4) POUND GREEN, a half brother to Horse of the Year lexie Lou had a pleasing debut outing in a Tapeta sprint and is bred for grass too. (15) OPUS NORTH is worth a look if he draws into the field from the AE list. (9) THY KINGDOM adds Lasix off his sprint debut and he will enjoy stretching out in distance.
