M G IDOLE rolled to her third win in a row on a special Civic Holiday card of racing today. The six year-old MILLION DOLLAR CAM mare is owned and trained by Todd Kennedy of Windsor. Nick Steward took M G IDOLE to the front and didn’t look back setting fractions of 29.1, 1:00.1, 130.2 for a mile time of 2:00.4.
M G IDOLE’s win was only one of four for Dresden Raceway’s leading dash driver, Steward.
Steward also drove BRENWAY DARBY, WINDSONG KANGO and JAZZMO to the winner’s circle on the day to give him 17 on the year.
Dresden Raceway had a very successful holiday Monday card of racing turning a handle of $29, 057 which is almost $11,000 more than was bet last year bringing this year’s running total to over $54,000 more than last year’s total handle.
TRACK TIDBITS…HOUSE OF WINS…Lorne House picked up a driving double today while at the controls for ZORGWIJK OPHELIA and RIGHT CHOICE…IN THE WOODS…Dave Woods of Essex was the breeder, owner, trainer and driver of ASTERISM in the fourth race…BIG BUCKS…the largest payout of the day was the 2-8-3 Triactor that paid $1,668.90…SMOOTH JAZZ…JAZZMO was the fastest of the day as he paced the mile in 1:59.4…FULL HOUSE…Lorne House not only scored two wins but also picked up two thirds which meant he picked up top three finishes in each of his drives.
