Record heat makes for fast times in Kin Pace Eliminations at Clinton Raceway
Two eliminations were held this afternoon for Clinton Raceway's richest race, the Kin Pace Final, next Sunday at the Huron County Oval. The top four finishing horses from the sixth and eighth races make up the field moving forward to vie for the $60,000 final on Sunday July 8.

Race 6, Askmysecretary held on for a gate to wire victory from post position six, and scored the natural driving hattrick for Doug McNair. Rendezvous Hanover, Sweet Toujours and Three Accounts make up the top four in the first elimination. The eighth race of the 10 card afternoon went to 

Jack Darling owned and trained, Write Me a Song, driven by Jody Jamieson. Followed closely by the rail horse Shadow World for owner/trainer Colin Johnson and driver Jonathan Drury. Rounding out the top four were Katniss S BG and Sunday Afternoon. 

Off track, the Huron Residential Hospice was hosting their Day at the Races Fundraiser. Through the 50/50, pop corn sales, BBQ and race sponsorships they were able to raise over $2000. The Super Sunday Show celebrated Canada Day with free cake, tote bag giveaways after each race and the grand prize of a backyard oasis set! Heather Woods took home the grand prize. 

Live racing resumes next Sunday July 8, with the $60,000 Kin Pace Final, Huron Heat Fundraiser, and OSS rolls into town with three year old filly trotters. Live race post time is 1:30 pm.
