To count down the 12 days before Christmas,
Mr. Will Wong (@mrwillw) will present some of his favourite photos from the 2017 thoroughbred season.
Today: What a Wonder!
“2017 was a year we saw women were front and centre, both on and off the track. On the 12th day of Christmas, I present to you Wonder Gadot, named after actress Gal Gadot (pronounced “Ga-dot”, not “Ga-doh”) and her internationally-revered role as Wonder Woman.
This filly, owned by Gary Barber, trained by Mark Casse and bred by Ontario’s Anderson Farms, certainly has lived-up to her ambitious name winning the Grade III Mazarine Stakes at Woodbine and the Grade II Demoiselle at Aqueduct following a respectable showing in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at Del Mar.” –
