AGCO: One-Time Extension of Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse Individual Horse Racing Licences

AGCO: One-Time Extension of Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse Individual Horse Racing Licences

The AGCO is currently in the process of transitioning its licensing and registration services to an online platform called iAGCO. This online platform improves and modernizes the AGCO’s service delivery by offering its customers an easy, convenient and digital way of doing business with the Commission.

The AGCO is planning to introduce iAGCO to the horse racing industry in 2020. In preparation for this move, starting March 1, 2019, the AGCO will shift the expiry date for all individual Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing licences to the licensee’s or applicant’s birthdate.

To facilitate this change, individual licences issued in 2019 will expire on a licensee’s birthday in 2020.  In most cases, this will mean an extension of the licensing period and a licence fee that is pro-rated to include the additional months.  The fee will be based on how many months a licence will be extended to reach the licensee/applicant’s birthdate in 2020.

For more information on how this will affect your licence expiry date and 2019 licensing fee, please see the 2019 pro-rated fee schedule. (PDF format or HTML)

This is a one-time change for 2019 individual renewals and applications. In order to ensure this transition is fair, smooth, and seamless, the AGCO will make available extra resources, including staff at track offices, to assist licensees and applicants in the early part of the season.

We thank you for your support and consideration during this adjustment period.
