The Standardbred Pick-5 wager has been picking up momentum since being introduced to the Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) betting menu last October and soon it will feature a guaranteed pool.
Beginning Mon., Feb. 29, WEG will offer a guaranteed pool of $30,000 for the Standardbred Pick-5 on each race card.
The Pick-5 begins on the opening race of each card of live racing. The wager features a minimum bet of $0.20 and a low 15 per cent takeout.
Strong payouts have been a common trend for the Pick-5, including last Saturday’s (Feb. 20) $12,758.17 payout for those who connected with a $0.20 ticket.
The Pick-5 guaranteed pool of $30,000 will become the second guaranteed pool on each card of live racing, joining the $50,000 Early Pick-4.
