New staff at Fort Erie Race Track
Fort Erie Live Racing Consortium (FELRC) is proud to announce the following staff changes:
 
Antonietta Petrella
 
Antonietta has joined the FELRC as the new Manager of Marketing & Media Relations.
 
Antonietta, born and raised in Fort Erie, is an Honours Communication Studies graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has worked in a number of fields, where she has gained experience in public relations, event management, marketing and communications. She brings with her knowledge of social media practices, and skills in graphic design and website management.
 
Frank Salive
 
Frank will be joining our Fort Erie team as our announcer and television commentator.
 
Frank brings extensive announcing experience for horseracing of all breeds, announcing more than 125,000 races throughout his career. He has also held operational roles with racetracks throughout North America, and has years of broadcasting experience in radio and television dating back to the 1976 Olympics.
 
Walter Berg
 
Walter Berg will be returning to the Fort Erie Race Track as our Executive Chef.  Walter has more than 30 years of senior level experience in the restaurant and hospitality business in the Niagara Region, including 13 years as the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage at the Niagara Casinos.  Walter previously worked for the FELRC from 2010 to 2013 and was a valuable member of the team responsible for restructuring our Food and Beverage Department.
 
“We are extremely pleased to be welcoming these three individuals to our team,” said Tom Valiquette, Chief Operating and Financial Officer of the FELRC.  “We are enthusiastic about their unique skills and backgrounds, and are confident they will contribute to the success of our operation.”
 
Opening Day for Fort Erie Race Track’s 119th Season is Tuesday, May 31. Races take place every Tuesday, and every Sunday beginning June 12 until Oct. 18.  The 81st Prince of Wales Stakes, the second jewel in Canada’s Triple Crown, will be held on Tuesday, July 26.
