Going to visit him during the winter months when we were off and having him recognize your voice from far away in a paddock would always make me laugh. I'm sure he knew it was me, but he also knew I had candy and carrots.
When I think of him, I think of what a one-of-a kind horse he is. He's just so honest and genuine. He always gave you his heart every time he ran. In 38 lifetime starts, he finished in the top 3 28. He was just so consistent and hard knocking.
