“The horse that changed my life was named Tahana. In my first year of training, he was the horse that always went out and gave 100 per cent. He would always try for me no matter what!”
He was always a character. The first time I put him on the Equicizer, I was so proud because he was so well behaved. I went out to the barn and when I came out he had gotten loose and was running around the farm.
When I think of Tahana, I remember how he was one of my winners my first year training. He came in at very long odds (66-1, at Woodbine, on November 14, 2008) and I was so proud. I wish every horse could have half of the heart he had.”
Note: Tahana, an Ontario-bred son of I Can’t Believe, won seven of 35 career starts, accompanied by 19 top-three finishes.
