Coming up to her one-year anniversary as social administrator at Ajax Downs, Katina Milns tells
Ontarioracing.com she loves her job. “I love planning the events and marketing our sport,” said Milns. “The best part about it is that I get to do a lot of different things.”
Milns also gives us a little insight to her other interests away from the track in the Quarter Horse edition of ‘5 Things You Should Know About’:
OR – What was the CD you purchased or most recent music you downloaded?
KM – It has been at least 5 years since I bought a CD and my kids overrule me on what I download from ITunes. The other day I downloaded the group Imagine Dragons for my son. For me, I like eclectic music, different types.
OR – What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
KM – Well, Plan B of my life was to open a bake shop but now I do baking from my home. I have some clients and I back once or twice a week. I enjoy making cupcakes and cookies the most.
OR – If you could have dinner with any celebrity or well know person, who would it be?
KM - It would have to be someone funny; I think Jimmy Fallon would be amusing, I would pick him to have dinner with.
OR – What is your favourite meal?
KM- I love ham, mashed potatoes and broccoli with cheese sauce. I guess I like Easter dinner!
OR – Tim Horton’s or Starbucks?
KM – Oh, Starbucks! I am not really a coffee person and Starbucks has flavoured-type coffees. At this time of year they have things like Caramel Mocha and fierrent lattes.
