Purses attributed to cancelled live race days in February reallocated to remaining live race days
February 25, 2021 - With spectator-free live racing having resumed in Ontario as of February 16, 2021, Ontario Racing and the Ontario Racing-formed Standardbred Task Force have agreed that purses attributed to the cancelled live race days in February will be reallocated to the remaining live race days in the form of additional races and/or increased purses, beginning early March for the tracks currently running live days in Ontario. As a result, equine benefits will be limited to the previously announced December 2020 and January 2021 cancelled race days. In addition, any excess funds remaining from the relief payment issued in December 2020 and January 2021 will also be allocated to live days moving forward.

Woodbine Mohawk Park, which kicked off its 2021 racing season on Thursday, February 18, will have four cancelled race days from February rescheduled to the end of March.
