Stronach Stables, the racing stable of auto parts magnate Frank Stronach, continues to be a dominant force in thoroughbred racing. Stronach owns and operates Adena Springs Farm, with locations in Canada, Kentucky, and Florida, and racetracks that include Santa Anita Park, Gulfstream Park and Pimlico.

The outfit has owned five Breeders’ Cup winners and 2000 Preakness victor, Red Bullet. Horse of the Year, Ghostzapper (the top ranked horse in the world in 2004) and champion older mare Ginger Punch are two of many to wear the Stronach colours.

Other Grade 1 winners include Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Awesome Again (1997 Queen’s Plate winner), Basqueian (1994 Plate champ), Touch Gold, Awesome Feather, Macho Uno, Citronnade, Sugar Shake and Spun Sugar.

Stronach and his Adena Springs have won several honours as outstanding owner and outstanding breeder both in the U.S. and Canada.

Since 2000, Stronach has won over 1,500 races and nearly $83 million in purse earnings.

In 2016, Stronach colour-bearers reached the winner’s circle 54 times and posted 122 top-three finishes.
