Best Bet – (4) SENOR JOBIM – Race 7
Spot Play – (2) GORMLEY GIRL – Race 5
Today's Play:  Pick 4 (.20 cents, Races 4-7): 2, 3, 7, 10, 12 / 2, 4, 5, 7 / 1, 3, 8 / 4 = $12.00

Race 1 —  (5) ESSENTIAL BELLA bounced back from a drab run to be second in her latest after going strongly on the pace through seven furlongs. She shortens up to 6-1/2 furlongs.  (7) MOON POOL dips one class level and returns to a sprint, and she showed some late in in her five furlong outing in September.  (1) TIPSY MOON is by a young sire who was quick and won his juvenile debut.  (8) HIT ME UP is a half sister to two juvenile debut winners.

Race 2 —  There could be enough speed up front to help  (7) SEAMIALUAGH rally in time for a close placing. She has been consistently good at this $25,000 claiming class level.  (2) POLAR APPEAL ran well in her first race off the claim by Alison Crook and she has come back with a good workout time.  (1) LACOUGRA sped to a big maiden winner two weeks ago at a slightly shorter distance.  (5) BENNY'S BUTTON did not have a good start from the gate last time against better and she has speed to offer.

Race 3 —  (4) DANCING DOLL has won four straight races including her latest off the claim by Martin Drexler at this starter/optional class. She returns to the Tapeta main track and she handles that surface just fine.  (6) VALLEY GIRL has been in the top three placings seven times in her 10 races this year and has a third behind 'Doll' recently.  (7) VEIL meets mostly easier gals than she has for some time and can make her presence felt.  (8) REAL COAL has been freshened since mid-September and she gets some class relief. She is one of the quickest gals in the field.

Race 4 —  The Pick 4 wager begins with a big field of maiden fillies, so you may want to use a few of these on your ticket.  (3) DEEPLY IN LOVE showed sharp speed from the rail at 6-1/2 furlongs in her second career race. She shortens to 5 furlongs and may have a lot more to offer in the late stages.  (12) PSARRIS has a tough post for a short race but she drops to a new low class level and gets blinkers. She had a pleasing run in her debut and anything close to that effort makes her a strong factor.  (2) DEVINE DANCING drops back down in class and she has used her speed to get some top three placings.  (7) SEA FRET is also quick and she has worked quickly recently as she seeks a return to her better form.

Race 5 —  (2) GORMLEY GIRL is by one of the world's top first-crop sires, Gormley, and she has not shown a lot in four races yet but she gets a slight class drop and comes off her closest placing.  (7) ALLPAIDUP is improving with each outing and she worked a bullet four furlongs since a good try Oct. 14.  (4) SASSYWITHATTITUDE has had three straight runner-up placings, each time she led late in the race.  (5) BIRD SAVVY was even money for her career debut in July, had big speed but faded and bled through Lasix. She meets some other quick ones.

Race 6 —  (3) VIOLET JESSOP took fast workout times into her career debut, and she had the rail post but worked her way past rivals to be third. She gets a bit more distance and Shawn Bridgmohan takes over from a suspended Kazushi Kimura.  (1) LOAD ABROAD is very logical as she has been second in consecutive races and recently worked a fast four furlongs in :47 flat, a bullet.  (8) AT THE LYRIC is learning quickly, having grabbed second place at 45 to 1 in her second career race.  (5) MISS BRENTWOOD was involved in a tough pace battle first time out and she had a wide post to boot. She can improve second time out.

Race 7 —  (4) SENOR JOBIM has won two of his last three races, both at six furlongs on Tapeta. He tries seven furlongs with a new rider as Kazushi Kimura is suspended. His tactical speed will come in handy as many of these are closing types.  (1) CARMENOOTZ is a regular nibbler but it should be noted that he has only tried seven furlongs on Tapeta once — and he won.  (6) DOTTED LINE seeks his first win since the Kingarvie Stakes in 2019 and he has been getting close recently.  (9) SOLIDIFY is a closer who gets more distance and he has had two quick workouts since his latest.

Race 8 —  (7) GELATO AMORE has a solid edge in Beyer Figures and overall form and she is tumbling down to the bottom claiming for the first time. This is her first start for trainer Martin Drexler. (4) SEA ANNA DREAM shortens up to 5-1/2 furlongs, which works in her favour.  (3) SAVVY'S SISTER should be happy to get back to the Tapeta surface and Woodbine and she has good speed.  (8) DISCREET BEAR is also down to the lowest claiming level for the first time and can wake up with a placing in the exotics.  (2) PIERIAN comes off a short layoff after her season debut at Fort Erie. She has been working in fast times.
