Best Bet –  (6) SEGUIMI – Race 7
Spot Play  - (1) MUSICALLY INCLINED – Race 1
Today's Play: Pick 5 (races 2-6): 2, 6, 8 / 8 / 6 / all /  1, 4, 6, 7 = $21.60
*races handicapped for turf

Race 1 –  (5) ELITE PRINCESS takes a further class drop in search of her maiden win and all three of her starts this season have been good. She only has to guard about losing ground in the final furlong. (4) SILENT SURVIVOR had some speed in a two-turn grass race against better to  begin her career and she drops sharply and shortens up for the move to Tapeta. Trainer Tony Gattellaro has had success winning with maiden, second time starters. (6) DEVINE DANCING had a better outing last time when showing speed and holding third. (3) BABY DRIVER continues to pick up shares of the purse and is an exotic bet contender.

Race 2- (2) MERINO WOOL gave turf a short last time but she trailed and she is quickly back on the Tapeta. She was third in her previous two outings on the main track her last Tapeta Beyer Figure of 60 looks good in this field. (6) SAMURAI FIGHTER just won her maiden with the drop to this $5,000 claiming level and the turn-back to seven furlongs from a route distance should be fine with her. (8) OXESOME has some early speed in this paceless race and that can get her into the top three mix. (9) ONEZY'S DREAM has never tried seven furlongs but has shown closing power in some of her sprints.

Race 3- (8) POLAR APPEAL was beaten a head in her first outing for maiden claiming on Aug. 12 when heavily favoured for the second straight race. Most her rivals in this race and first-time starters. (5) FOREST VIXEN is by a high percentage debut sire and is the first foal of a mare who did some good earning. A gate workout in 48 for four furlongs on Aug. 15 was good from a time perspective. (2) PSARRIS is by a very good debut sire and a fast recent gate workout. (6) CORA has a chance to do better after three tough runs: she went too fast on the pace in her opener, ran into a big winner in her next race and then was on grass. (

Race 4- (6) BALLROOM OF MARS will be an attractive filly for players of the Pick 4 which begins in this race. She stretches out to a route distance for her second outing of the year and likes longer races and her season opener was solid. (5) OUT OF ROMANCE was flat in her first race since November which came on the grass but can go forward off that comeback outing. (9) SKY OF DREAMS has been in the top four in all six career races and ran a winning race two starts ago when she made an early move to the lead. (1) ENGLISH BISCUIT zooms up in class off an improved run in a sprint.

Race 5 –  Two-year-olds on the turf and all but one are making the grass debut or career debut.  (9) SILENT RUNNER is the lone guy with  grass experience and he was fourth behind First Empire in a tougher maiden race last time and that winner came back to win a stakes race. (2) TRAGICALLY FUNNY has plenty of turf breeding and comes off a good rally in his latest. He gets blinkers. (4) BARTICA has a strong 'win early' pedigree as he is by a high percentage debut sire and from a mare who won first time out. He has some turf breeding. (5) LATE SURGE passed seven horses in the stretch first time out and he has some turf breeding.

Race 6 – (1) MUSICALLY INCLINED could pop up and win her maiden in this five furlong Tapeta dash with some luck. There is a lot of speed in the field and if she can work out a trip, she could run down rivals in the stretch. (4) PIPPI will have a much better pace set up for her rally. (7) CHASING DESTINY and (6) LITTLE MISS CAT burned each other out in a speed battle last time and they are the quickest gals in the field.

Race 7 – (6) SEGUIMI did almost everything right in his season debut in a race just like this (Taylor turf, $15,000 claiming) but he led late and was caught by three rivals including one who has come back to win. (1) LUCAS N' LORI loves the grass and his last win came on this course. He dips in class. (3) STRIKE THE TOP edged the top pick when they met last time but his rival has better tactical speed. (7) MATINEE has good speed and ran a big race in his latest against tougher.

Race 8 – (3) IF SIX WAS NINE came off a big maiden win to be third in her latest at this class level and distance. She continues to improve. (8) ALTERNATIVE VIEW beat the top pick last time with a stretch rally but she tends to be second and third most times. (4) QUEEN BEACH comes off her maiden win around two turns on the turf and she handles the main track. (1) SAN NICOLA STAR woke up with the move to a route distance and she moves up in class.

Race 9 - (1), (8), (10), (3), (11)
