Michael Bozich's Western Fair Selections for Monday, May 27, 2019
Best Bet - (3) THE LOAN RANGER - Race 1
Spot Play - (5) JIMMY WINTIPS - Race 10
Early Pick 4 - 1,2,3/1,2,6/1,2,5/2,3 = $10.80
Late Pick 4 - 2,5,6/3,4,5/1,3/4,5 = $7.20

Race 1 - (3) THE LOAN RANGER double drops from the Preferreds. The last time he faced similar he won easy at odds of 40 cents on the dollar. It's best to seek value underneath. (5) LIL MOE MONEY makes his first start off the claim. He blasted off the wings and drew off two starts ago, then drew the second tier and couldn't get involved in his last. (2) MERCENARY is another that won the last time he was at this level at low odds. He draws well and should be in the mix once again.

Race 2 - (7) OLD BUCK flew off the wings and pulled off a shocker the last time he started from this post. His form remains solid and with other wagering options in here, value could be had with him. (1) ADORE HIM draws the rail and that should give him ample striking position. He's a major threat. (3) MAXIMUS POWER has been knocking at the door as of late. He draws well and there is limited speed inside of him.

Race 3 - (2) LAWMEN REIGN has an occasional good late kick and a post to utilize it. He also faces a short field that is beatable. (1) BULLDOG TENACITY gets the advantageous post draw and reunites with St Louis. He should show speed. (3) BRINGHOME THEBLUE drops in class after taking close to a month off. He could be dangerous if he doesn't need the race

Race 4 - (3) MAJOR NAJOR's big thing is striking position. He draws well and if Alfie can work out a close-up cover trip, he could go best in the lane. (1) MACHS BOY reports back to London after a gate-to-wire score at Clinton. He seems to get along well with Macdonald, plus he draws the rail. (6) KINGSTONS BAD BOY drops in class and reunites with his regular driver. He's a top contender.

Race 5 - (5) GOLDINTHEBADLANDS has been sharp as of late. He meets a bit of a hodgepodge field today - meaning horses coming from all sorts of different classes. (2) ALL AROUND DRAGON got the cold shoulder while trying to leave in his latest. He draws well, and clearer sailing should get him close. (1) JACKRABBIT JODY makes his second start off the bench and draws the rail. He should progress in his form cycle tonight.

Race 6 - (2) GREYSTONE WISKY O was our top pick last time at 40-1 and made a break while in good position. He gets post relief here and meets a beatable field. (1) KID GENIUS gets huge post relief after a series of bad draws. He should be in the mix throughout. (3) DENMARK SEELSTER couldn't close into a fast back half in his most recent. That was off the heels of a win. We're hoping he's a bit closer to the pace tonight. (8) EASTON BEACH has been runner-up to a nice winner in his last two starts. We would have ranked higher if it weren't for the second tier. (5) FIVE OF CLUBS gets post and class relief. That may be enough to secure a minor share.

Race 7 - (2) AMERICAN SNIPER was our top pick last week but Jims Great brought his A Plus game. He draws well, and we expect a better try here at a price. (5) CASIMIR OVERDRIVE debuts for a dangerous barn and gets St Louis to boot. He's a major player. (6) HOPETOBEFIRST is in top form. He draws outside but has the early foot to overcome it. He's a big threat once again.

Race 8 - (5) DONT DILLY DALLY made a break into a fast third quarter in his latest. Previous efforts suggest he's a player here. (4) JOHN MAC was a beaten favorite with broken equipment in his most recent. He's an obvious threat to bounce back. (3) WRITE MY STORY had no shot last time, as he tried to close into a fast back half from the second tier. He was tossing hints prior.

Race 9 - (3) TUITION MONEY was stranded in a dead outer flow last time. He does have sneaky speed and that could put him in the mix at good odds. (1) SIR GALAHAD gapped his cover last time and finished okay. That was his first start in a while. He may take a step forward from this post. (2) BOOMBOOM BALLYKEEL tired while first over against a tough group in his last. Previous efforts suggest we pay attention.

Race 10 - (5) JIMMY WINTIPS lost all chance when he broke at the start in his most recent. That was on the heels of a good closing win. He's a price shot here. (4) LUMIERE is another that simply had no shot last week. He nearly got up the week before and would benefit greatly from a fast pace. (1) LITTLE QUICK has been getting bet hard with limited results over the past month and a half. He draws the rail and is once again a contender, albeit undervalued. (6) BET ON ART continues to display sharp form. He may get lost in the shuffle on the odds board as this race offers a bevy of wagering options. (2) STONEY DURKIN improved greatly in his most recent while being forwardly placed. He does get post relief, and that may continue the upswing in his form cycle.
