AGCO and OLG approve race dates for 10 more Ontario tracks

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) have approved 2026 race dates for 10 more Ontario racetracks.

The number of race dates is as follows:

The news comes after the AGCO and OLG approved dates for Woodbine Racetrack, Woodbine Mohawk Park, Fort Erie Race Track and Ajax Downs last week.

Ontario Racing provided each racetrack with an equitable recommendation of race dates balanced against industry horse supply. In response, racetracks provided input which was collated, reviewed and accommodated by a working group. As such, these 10 race date calendars have full industry alignment to move forward into the 2026 racing season.

Race dates for Rideau Carleton Raceway will be announced as available.

The Ontario horse racing industry is fortunate to have stable, long-term funding from the Province of Ontario. The Long-Term Funding Agreement signed in 2019 provides up to $120 million annually to the industry through 2038 via the OLG through Ontario Racing.
