TORONTO, January 12, 2024 - OLG has launched a post-pandemic horse racing Economic Impact Study that aims to capture a diverse range of data that accurately reflects the industry’s economic footprint and assess how the horse racing landscape has changed since 2019.
With an assurance that responses will remain confidential, OLG is encouraging as many horse owners, breeders and trainers in Ontario to participate in the study as possible, so they can ensure the best data is being used to estimate the horse racing industry's overall contributions to Ontario’s economy.
Results of the survey will be presented at an aggregate level, with sets of questions totaled, and then those totals averaged.
Each question posed in the study refers to calendar year 2023.
