Ontario Breds were well represented over the course of the Ocala Breeders' Sales March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training, with 11 horses being sold over the course of the three-day sale.
A colt (HIP 89) from the first crop of four-time Grade 1 winner McKinzie was the Ontario Bred sale topper, going to Bill Childs for $750,000 on the first day of the sale, Tuesday, March 12.
“Of course, I liked the way he worked. That was obvious,” Childs told BloodHorse. “I liked him because I think he is probably going to go two turns. I just liked the way he went, the way he looked, and everything about him.”
The bay colt was bred in Ontario by Mike Carroll and consigned by Wavertree Stables.
