Strong Showings From Ontario-Bred Horses At 2023 Breeders' Cup
The 2023 Breeders' Cup saw solid performances from each of the three Ontario-bred horses who were in attendance Friday and Saturday at Santa Anita Park.

Racing on Friday, in Race 9 of the program, My Boy Prince finished third in the Juvenile Turf (G1) race.

On Saturday, Moira was a third-place finisher as well in her Filly and Mare Turf (G1) event, while Lucky Score finished in the middle of the pack in seventh place of the Breeders' Cup Mile (G1).

The Breeders' Cup start was just the sixth of My Boy Prince's career, and the first third of the colt's career.

For Moira, the third-place finish was another notch added to the former Queen's Plate winner's illustrious career.

Up to Saturday's race, Lucky Score had finished each of its races this year either first second or third, but was unable to find similar results this time.

Lucky Score was ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr., who steered Kentucky-bred colt White Abarrio to the $6-million Breeders' Cup Classic on Saturday.
