MILTON – Logan Park stopped the clock in 1:50.3 in Tuesday’s $42,000 Free For All Trot at Woodbine Mohawk Park to set a new Canadian record for an older male trotter.
The five-year-old gelding scored a 5 ½ length victory over five rivals to set the new Track and Canadian Record. The 1:50.3 mile breaks the previous mark of 1:50.4 set by Mister Herbie (2012) and matched by Musical Rhythm (2019), Guardian Angel As (2019) and Locatelli (2022).
Doug McNair guided Logan Park to victory for trainer Des Tackoor and owners Outofthepark Stable, Reg Higgs and Arpad Szabo. The five-year-old has been a stable star for the Fellows barn, posting 18 career victories and earnings of over $850,000.
