Ontario-bred Moira fetched $3 million to a phone bid of DM Racing Tuesday at the Fasig-Tipton November sale.
The 4-year-old, consigned as Hip 156 by Hill 'n' Dale at Xalapa, agent, was sold as a racing/broodmare prospect.
Moira (Ghostzapper–Devine Aida, by Unbridled's Song), was the 2022 Queen's Plate winner and over the span of a 13-start career, she found the winner's circle five times. Most recently, Moira finished third at the 2023 Breeders' Cup, in the Filly and Mare Turf (G1) event.
She has earned a little more than $1.4 million over the span of her career.
