Seven Races to Open Dresden Raceway Season on Monday, May 23
May 20, 2022 - (DRESDEN) - Holiday Monday at Dresden Raceway is all set to go with a seven race card and lots of great giveaways and draws.

"Race secretary Ian Fleming did a great job to put together seven races during this time of the year," said Track Announcer Gary Patterson

Due to winter tracks finishing their season and summer tracks starting up there is a shortage of horses in Ontario.

Dresden Raceway will have a different event planned each race day, including the fan favourite "Derby Hat Day" set for this Monday. Patrons are asked to wear their fanciest hat to the track for an opportunity to win great prizes!

Prizes will be given away every race from local sponsors including, Wallaceburg Shopper's Drug Mart, The Track Kitchen, Boston Pizza, Tim Horton's, Mario's Pizza, Dresden Foodland, McKellar's Flowers, Dominos Pizza and JMHI Insurance.

Dresden's new High Definition tote board will bring 150 years of racing into 2022 so fans can enjoy every aspect of the races up close and personal. Fans will be able to enjoy the races in the fully licensed open grandstand with family and friends.

"The family aspect of the sport and the tradition is what makes Dresden Raceway special as generations of families return to the track every year." added Patterson

Doors open at noon with post time for the first race set at 1:00pm.
