Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame driver Herve Filion passed away on June 22 at the age of 77.
In addition to being a member of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame, Filion is also a member of the U.S. hall of fame.
The Quebec native won 15,183 races over his decorated career. In 1971, he was the Lou Marsh trophy recipient as Canada’s Professional Athlete of the Year. Filion also received the Medal of Honour from Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.
