Best Bet - (2) SIR GALAHAD - Race 9
Spot Play - (3) MACH SHARK - Race 4
Pick 3 (R2) - 3/1,4,5/1,2,3 - $9
Pick 4 (R5) - 1,4,5/5/1,3,4/5 - $9

Race 1 - (4) WHY SO SERIOUS should be much better in a far easier group and entering the Nostadt barn with St. Louis in the bike. Expect a short price but a big win. (6) WINDEMERE EDDIE impressed on debut but would need something special from the six-hole; possible. (1) MOONSHINE WILLY took a first-up shot into mild fractions but packed it in at the 1/8 pole last time. Gets the rail to work with; would need improvement.

Race 2 - (3) INSINCERITY drops into a class she should take. Few appear to be at her level in this one; a return to form spells victory. (6) BROTHER AIDAN proved best of the rest in a three-wide move at Sarnia last week. This plucky gelding should be considered for place. (5) FOR KEVINS SAKE showed improvement on August 1st with his best finish in weeks; could do better tonight.

Race 3 - (1) TOMITTA BAYAMA wired the field at a soggy Clinton last out despite being challenged from the half. He could do it again from the rail at a rewarding price. (5) KEATON is a wily veteran in solid form. He can strike at any time - I give him a top chance tonight. (4) SANDESTIN HANOVER raced convincingly at Monticello last season, and he may improve in his second start of 2020. He could spice up the exotics.

Race 4 - (3) MACH SHARK beat the top two last time in a third place effort but couldn’t take down two superior foes. She’s an upset chance with recent inconspicuously good tries that can bag me a cheeky five points. (2) IDEAL SPACE is a Dresden stalwart with plenty of motor. Borth should be sending him to the top. (1) TEAM LEADER is similarly tough at Dresden and will be a contender today. Nod to the above due to the edge on long-term performance.

Race 5 - (4) TYLERS BEACH BOY is a gutsy gelding in another winnable group. He will find victory lane if the path there allows him to do so. (1) GO MUD can never be counted out and deserves a selection underneath. His reliability makes him dangerous. (5) JULIAN I AM has caught fire in his past three, but may have some trouble from post five and with speed inside of him.

Race 6 - (5) BET ON BRETT drops many levels and Marc St. Louis picks up the lines. He faded in an enervating effort two back, but he should be fresh tonight with extra rest. (4) AMBERS SHADOW battled bravely against better in her past few; now she gets a more workable group. She’s a solid place candidate. (2) ARTS FIRST LUCK is steadily improving and could outlast some foes for a spot in the Triactor.

Race 7 - (4) LETS ROAR put away NW3000L company last out in a wire-to-wire score. The class here is greater but the horses are about even and St. Louis should have her firing. (3) DREAMFAIR FANTASY took second in a leg of this Prospect Series two back, but disappointed in her next. The former mile repeated makes her a winner here; maybe. (1) REINSPIRED shouldn’t be easily forgiven for faltering at Clinton from the lead last out based on weather; speed won its fair share that night. However, she proved her mettle with a place in the Prospect on July 15. I’ll include her in the exotics.

Race 8 - (5) CARMENS FLUKE grinded away first over and was rewarded with the win on July 4. He flexed his muscles there, and I’ll back him for another quality start on the rebound from a nightmare outing two weeks ago. (6) AVUNCULAR will hop to the engine and hope for soft panels. He’ll need them and a premium effort. (4) MAGICS LUCKY CHARM is a tri candidate with an optimal steer by St. Louis.

Race 9 - (2) SIR GALAHAD tries for a triple to begin the year, and few appear up to the task of stopping him from doing so. (3) TUITION MONEY is a consistent challenger coming off a brave attack first over that ended in disappointment. I give him a nod for place and acknowledge that he is very capable of beating the choice. (4) BETTER MOONON OVER produced a flashy chartline with a three-wide swoop to the lead and subsequent victory, but that was versus weaker and his win first in months. He’d been knocking at the door and finally busted it down; may do it again if the trip works out.

Race 10 - (3) SOPHIES DESTINY tried and failed to find the line in each of her past two. It should be easier to do so here versus lesser rivals. (5) DELICATE TASTE has speed also, but is unlikely to go fifteen rounds with the choice early. She should be in a useful striking spot and will take her shot down the lane. (1) JIM WHO has been solid lately; may pick up a share with an easy outing from the pylons.
