Best Bet - (1) SR BEACH BABE - Race 5

Race 1 – (5) MARZANNK HANOVER looks for three in a row, she has been the real deal since coming back off the layoff.  (1) GREYSTONE NATALI O adds McNair to the bike this week following a gutsy closing trip last out.  (3) WILDCAT DELIGHT got the perfect trip, first time out since November, last week and just didn’t have it through the stretch.  Expect her to be better this week.

Race 2 – (6) A BLACK DIAMOND looks to drop and pop tonight for trainer Kyle Bossence, this group will be easier than she faced at Woodbine Mohawk Park last out. (1) CHARMBO STORMY has done well in the first two starts of her career, she draws into a good spot here. (5) BRYDOWN LILIBET is a deep closer and will be rolling late.

Race 3 - (3) SHOW ME SOME MAGIC completely ran out of racetrack last week with her outside draw, but she did benefit from the pace falling apart.  She draws into a good spot tonight and she should be closer.  (1) SILVERHILL MISTY dropped in class last week and just didn’t have much kick through the lane, but still managed to hold on to finish second.  She has the ability to hit the ticket don’t count her.  (8) KINDA LIKE HER makes her first start off the layoff for trainer Guy Gagnon, she is a hard knocking mare, who likes to hit the ticket.

Race 4 – (2) BLACKCREEK ROSEBUD stepped up to this group last week and raced evenly.  I expect her to be tougher and closer to the lead with no real speed inside.  (3) OK JEWEL raced very well considering she had to start from the outside last week.  She gets a much better draw and shouldn’t be counted out.  (6) RETURN TO STYLE faces easier this week coming in from Mohawk Park, she has had some success in London before.

Race 5 - (1) SR BEACH BABE drops out of the Preferred to the claiming ranks.  She has speed and will most likely be the pace-setter.  (5) BLOSSOM ONTHEBEACH steps up to face tougher first off the claim for trainer Robert Coulter.  She has had some success at this level before.  (7) ASKMYSECRETARY hit the board in 33% of her starts last year for trainer Ted MacDonnell and has kicked off the year strong hitting the board 3 of 4 times.

Race 6 – (1) SHADOW OFDAWN ZAZZ enters off a game victory at The Meadows and will try to continue her winning ways for her new connections after a private purchase. (4) MOONSHINERS CREDIT drops in class after a no excuses trip last week where she tired badly through the lane. Expect improvement on the class drop. (6) TREASURED LOVE is a really nice State Treasurer filly who has a lot of gate speed and should be able to get into a good spot this week.

Race 7 - (4) KD ROSES gets some much-needed post relief tonight, but that was some effort last week where she was narrowly defeated.  If she is anywhere close to that tonight, look out.  (3) DIRTY BEACH makes her 3-year-old debut tonight for trainer Kyle Bossence.  She went 0 for 4 in 2020 and has had some opportunity to mature.  Her qualifier says she’s ready.  (5) SHADOW ONE draws slightly better here.  We will see what she has tonight.

Race 8 - I’m not normally a fan of horses assigned the outside, but that was an awesome tune up for this race by (7) BUTTERMILK HANOVER.  She was a winner against these in London back in December, but that qualifying line could beat most of the field.  (8) LADYLIKE had to come from way out of it last week going the extended distance and was just beaten.  Look for her to be a little closer tonight with some inside speed.  (2) STYLE SNAPSHOT has won two straight against lower-level condition company.  She has hit the ticket against these before.

Race 9 - (5) KEVNDAN FRAUDSTERS was parked the mile last week and clearly tired through the stretch, not able to get to the leader.  Hoping for a better trip tonight against this class.  (1) CARWINS SMORE has been racing well on the bigger track at Rideau.  If his recent form transfers well to the half, he will be tough.  (6) CANTCOUNTMEOUT shouldn’t be counted out even from the outside.  He has gate speed and could get into a good early spot.

Race 10 – (1) GEMINI EDDIE adds hopples for the first time and with a good qualifier on Mar 6, that may have been just what this gelding needed to stay flat.  He has room to improve and should be better this week.  (4) LADY CATERINA was stung to the first quarter from post seven last week and tired badly through the last half of the mile.  She should be better in this spot.  (2) CARMENS FLUKE stepped back to face easier last week and it wasn’t his best effort. Class drop again tonight, looking to improve.

Race 11 - (1) CATCHAFEWRAYS closed strongly in her first start off the layoff at Flamboro last week from post six.  The added distance, plus the rail could make for a deadly combo.  (9) A LA MODE SEELSTER enters this race off a four-month layoff for trainer Gorden McKnight.  She draws the second tier, which may hinder her leaving ability, but she will be following inside speed so she should get into a good spot.  (3) LITTLEBEAR CAT is a deep closer and will most likely be on the move late.  She loves to pass horses.  (2) PRETTY BLUE ANGEL steps up in class after a strong effort last out.  She has done well so far to kick off the year.  (6) RANDOMIROGEO was parked through a majority of the race last week, expect her to bounce back tonight.
