Race 1 – (5) CENTURY GEORGIA finally gets into a position where she can improve with an inside draw. She has some speed and should be able to use it here. (4) TWIN B DREAM GIRL raced just okay at Sarnia in the Prospect Series, should improve here against easier. (9) DREAMFAIR FANTASY should get a good trip from the second tier.
Race 2 – This is a very competitive race, but I think that (2) AETHON could very well extend his streak to three this week. He will most likely be the speed of the race and should get things his own way. (1) NOAHS PLAY steps up in class following a pair of on the board efforts. His speed ratings are better than most here. (8) MACH DIESEL finally rounded back into form last week with a promising effort at Dresden. Expect him to be on the ticket at nice odds.
Race 3 – (1) SPRINGBRIDGE DUEL has been as sharp as they come winning two straight against Gold company from outside posts. This gelding by Big Jim has a lot of talent, the inside draw should only help him. (2) TAKE CONTROL steps up in class for trainer Daniel Lagace after a second-place effort in the Grassroots series at Woodbine Mohawk Park. He is another that should benefit from an inside draw. (7) NEXT BIG THING could be a key player underneath at decent odds. I really like this gelding, shipping in from Mohawk Park. The post is a slight concern though.
Race 4 – (5) CYCLONE SISTER has won two straight against Grassroots company, she faces tougher company tonight, but nothing she can’t handle. Look for her to be rolling late. (7) BEST HEAD WEST tried to close last week against Gold company and couldn’t weave her way through traffic. She draws tough again this week, that is the only thing holding her back. (2) SIRI BLUE CHIP gets a somewhat improved post position tonight following a tough effort at Georgian last week. She does better when she is forwardly placed, I expect her to flash speed from here.
Race 5 – (4) COUNT TO THREE enters for trainer Bob McIntosh after a decent win at Sarnia last out. She is a filly that tends to come from off the pace, look for her to be firing late. (1) UPTHECREDITWITHART made the front last week, then tired towards the end. She faces tougher tonight, but could shock them with the inside draw. (5) PAISA HANOVER has hit the board in two of her first three starts since kicking off the season.
Race 6 – (2) CANDY TRADER showed promise in his first two starts and he really improved last week. He draws well in his first appearance on a half-mile track. (5) AVION SEELSTER made up a lot of ground in a hurry last week, almost winning his Gold division. He is a versatile gelding who has a big opportunity tonight. (1) CANTSTOPLYING didn’t get the best trip last week, I think you can pitch that effort. Look for him to bounce back tonight. (4) WATCH MY BEVERAGE was impeded in his first career start and he just could not rebound from that. He showed marked improvement in his second start from post nine last week. He is a solid contender in this tough elimination. (7) NO BETTER JOY picks up McClure again this week following a tough trip in his last start, where he just had too much ground to make up. Outside draw may make it difficult, but I like him to make the ticket.
Race 7 – (4) PLAIN JANE was an absolute monster in her first career start at Summerside. This is a step up in class for this pupil of trainer Dr Ian Moore, but she clearly belongs with this group after that effort. She has an opportunity to shine bright tonight. (8) ANDRA DAY has won two straight against Gold Company, she has a lot of potential, post eight is the only concern I have for her. (1) SPORTS CHECK didn’t get the greatest of trips at Georgian last week against Gold company. She draws well, and should be able to rebound from that effort.
Race 8 – (1) FERRARIFEVER has won seven of fifteen this season for trainer/driver Jean Rene Plante. This gelding has a lot of speed and should be able to work out a trip from the rail. (2) OAKROCK ELDORADO takes a step back in class for trainer Sandra Perreault. This is another speedy gelding who may have a big impact on the race. (9) ALWAYS N THE MONEY is capable of making the ticket from the second tier.
Race 9 – (2) FRIENDZONE raced extremely well in his last start, just narrowly missing the winner’s circle. He draws better and should have no issues here. (3) TAILS AWAY picks up Kelly again this week following a decent effort last out. Expect him to improve. (1) CHIK MAGUIRE has struggled some over the past couple of starts, hoping the rail puts him into the race.
Race 10 – (8) YS TALLIA draws tough and hasn’t raced since November. She looked ready to go in her qualifier at Three-Rivers, look for her to be on her game tonight. (7) TOP ROYAL stepped up in class last week and it was a lights out performance. She didn’t get off the gate that great and still managed to make up a lot of ground. The outside draw should not bother her. (9) LARJON LEGACY stepped up to the Preferred ranks last week and was only beaten by just over a length. She draws into a better position tonight, expect her to get into a good spot early and roll late. (6) AZURE SEELSTER always manages to find a way onto the ticket, don’t count her out. (4) WAR FILLY is another consistent mare, who could spice up the Super Hi-5 tonight.
