Best Bet –  (2) ARAMON – Race 2
Spot Play  -  (5) TEACHER'S PET – Race 6
Pick 4  (.20 cents, Races 4-7) :  1, 3, 6, 8 / 2, 3, 4 5 / 1, 2, 5 / 7, 8, 9 = $28.80

Race 1 – (4) STORMY JESS is an Ontario bred 2-year-old filly who debuted in Florida in July and took some betting support. She returns north with Lasix and blinkers and this gal is by a sire who gets precocious runners. Flyer. (3) FIONA BAY has Patrick Husbands on board again after her debut outing when she did not have a smooth start from the gate. Note that she had gate practice on Aug. 27 with a sharp 47 2/5 move.(8) JILL had trouble at the start of her debut when not in for claiming and she gets Lasix and blinkers and a class drop.  (2) DALLIAN M. Has stamina and speed in her breeding and some good prep times coming into this debut for trainer Mike Doyle,

Race 2 – (2) ARAMON drops to $25,00 maiden claiming and gets blinkers for her switch back to the Tapeta. In her second career start she just missed 4th place and the 2nd place finisher has come back to win a stake with an 81 Beyer and the 3rd place finisher was a recent winner. This one's owners won a stake earlier this week in Manitoba. (4) SHOW SOME SKIN makes her first start since December for good layoff trainer Michelle Love. This gal was a smart second in her last appearance. (7) TARA DAWN is overdue to get her maiden win as she has earned over $89,000 US. (1) RUM RAISIN had a strong debut outing on the turf last month.

Race 3- This is a nice maiden allowance for 2-year-old fillies and (3) REINFORCED has had a lot of workouts and many good clockings for trainer Josie Carroll. (7) DEVINE DANCING had a workout in 58 flat from the gate Aug. 12 for trainer Kevin Attard and Stronach Stables. (1) A.A. TZARINA is regally bred but was sold for $17,000 as a yearling after breeders bought the classic winning mare carrying her for $500,000. Has a fast recent workout. (2) NO MORE FENCES is by a hiogh percentage 2-year-old debut sire in Tapiture.

Race 4 – The Pick 4 wager begins here and there does not appear to be a lot of speed in this 6 1/2 furlong race and that may help (8) SOTHATSTHEWAYITIS who just won at a route distance but has shown speed in sprints. (6) REXDALE ran her best career race with a 74 Beyer Figure on the Tapeta last November and this is her first race back on the main track after three turf starts. (1) BEAR KITTY just won at this class level at 6 furlongs in her season debut and has had 3 nifty workout times since then. (3) TAYLER'S THE BOSS appears to be coming around and she has some speed to offer.

Race  5 – (3) SUNSPRITE is a first time starter by leading 1st crop sire in Canada Reload (3 for 8 with debut winners from starters). She worked a quick 2 furlongs in a sale in March in Florida in 10 2/5. (5) GAMBLE'S SILVER closed ground in her debut after a messy beginning and is bound to improve. (2) SILENT SPARKLE shows only a few workouts but is by a good juvenile sire in Silent Name (Jpn). (4) VOIR DIRE is a Gabe Grossberg homebred who has workouts dating back to March.

Race 6 –  This race is scheduled for turf at 6 furlongs and I am going to try (5) TEACHER'S PET to rebound from her grass debut when she was burned out in a tough pace battle at 7 furlongs. If she tries to sit off the pace that would help and if the race is moved to the main track, even better. (2) TOO MANY MOUNTANS won her maiden on turf at 44 to 1 and was an okay 5th off that win last time at 5 to 1. (1) THE GOOD WITCH won her maiden by 4 lengths last time on turf and would be a consideration on either surface. (3) MISS BOBBIT shortens up and has good speed for this 6 furlong dash.

Race 7 – (8) FLORIDA WON, a classy old timer with $550K in the bank, should enjoy returning to a route race on the Tapeta (4 for 13 in his career).  (9) FRANKIE BARONE gets class relief with the drop back to claiming and he can wake up. (7) GUITAR GEORGE is a trusty runner who does not win often but always comes with a run and he drops in class. (3) FIRE FOR EFFECT has been dull in two starts this year but also gets a class drop.

Race 8 – (7) FRESHIENTHEFOREST has been one of the unluckiest horses this summer with many troubled trips. She was just 4 to 1 in her latest on the inner turf against easier but was checked and lost all chance. She moves up in class but is a price play if she gets turf. (9) PIQUET is the most logical one in the field since she drops several class levels off a good effort on the inner turf. (10) GIZMO FLASH fared okay in her lone turf attempt last year and she drops in class. (5) CAROLINA GRACE won at this $14,000 price on the inner turf last time.
