Best Bet –  (4) PURRSUADE ME – Race 3
Spot Play  - (7) ONE MORE DRIFT – Race 4
Pick 4  (.20 cents, Races 4-7)  -   1, 5, 7, 9 / all / 2 / 3, 7 = $12.80

Race 1 –  (2) AMNESTY makes his first start of the year after some good workout times and he begins at the $7,500 claiming level which is where this well bred gelding was at the end of 2019. He is one of a couple of speedy types in this 6 furlong dash. (3) DYNAS GAMBLE powered away to his maiden win under Emma-Jayne Wilson last time and he just has to deal with other pace in this race to be a contender again. (7) BLESSED TWO looked like a winner late in his most recent but he was caught late at even money. (1) EL CHAIRMAN drops right down in class and should go better.

Race 2-  (2) JERSEY DIAMOND was heavily bet for his career debut and he was in the pace battle in that 5 1/2 furlong dash and got a bit tired, landing fourth. He earned a good rating for that effort and he shortens up to 5 furlongs. (3) CANADIAN SECRET should have more of a late finish as he shortens up from 6 furlongs. (7) BACHELOR PAD is a first time starer by Not Bourbon and from a  stakes winning mare who has produced a stakes winner. He had a good workout time July 11, 5 furlongs in 1:00 2/5. (5) WESTERN SOCIETY showed some progress second time out after being used hard on the pace in his debut.

Race 3- (4) PURRSUADE ME was in a maiden allowance first time out and she had good speed before fading. She drops to $25,000 maiden claiming and is one of the more likely ones in this 2-year-old filly race. (1) FEDERAL COURT also drops from maiden allowance to maiden claiming and she adds Lasix. (3) CIGARILLO is a beginner foaled in Alberta by a 21% debut sire (2-year-olds) and there is plenty of speed in her pedigree. (2) TARA EMPIRE has had plenty of workouts getting ready for her career debut and her older half sister Tara Dawn was a productive gal as a juvenile last year.

Race 4- The Pick 4 wager begins here. (7) ONE MORE DRIFT won his 2019 season debut and he has had lots of good workout times this summer.( 9) IN A TWIST was given the call to win his season opener by this corner and he ran well to be second. He tries 7 furlongs and keeps leading rider Rafael Hernandez.  (5) SECRET PATH posted a couple of 72 Beyer Figures before his latest when he was a bit sluggish from the gate. (1) KING CAUSEWAY gets his blinkers back on and he shortens up and drops in class for trainer Norm McKnight.

Race 5 – (1) FOREST SURVIVOR drops from maiden allowance and adds Lasix for his third race. He was a good third in his debut against a solid field but he wilted in his latest. (3) SHAKOO MAKOO ('Hey what's up' in Arabic) is by exciting young sire Reload who has a pair of 2-year-old debut winners already. (4) GRAND GIZMO has a lot of workouts and some quick times for the rolling Ladouceur barn. (5) ROYAL FANFARE is a grey colt with a lot of winning siblings and this is where the leading rider has landed.

Race 6 – (2) BEL BIMBO won a Tapeta sprint over non-winners of 2 in his local return with a smart 76 Beyer Speed Figure. Toss his latest on the grass as he is now 0 for 3 on that surface. He drops to $14,000 claiming and has speed to run at. (1) LEGAL GUMP could benefit from a fast pace battle up front and moving out from 5 furlongs to 6 furlongs works in his favour. The fast pair of (4) PINK LEMONADE and (8) THE KIPPY TRAIN got locked in a pace battle last time at 5 furlongs and will have to avoid the same trip at this longer distance.

Race 7 – (7) HANIEL had a superb Woodbine debut when she won July 10 on the Taylor turf course and this race is on the inner turf. The stretch run on this course is not as long and the turns tighter so she will have to adjust. (3) COMIC KITTEN met much tougher in her return to Woodbine July 12 and she fits better with this field. (2) MAKE NO MISTAKE is wonderfully consistent and this is her third race of the month. She figures to be a front runner as she stretches out from sprints. (6) MIZZONA comes off a win over Make no Mistake at 6 1/2 furlongs and this is just the second time she has ever tried a route distance in her career.

Race 8 –  (6) AGNELLI gets a class drop, switches back to the main track and adds blinkers and a wake up outing is predicted as he showed a lot more last year than he has in two outings in 2020. (3) FIRMLY GROUNDED should be prominent off his maiden win which he won smartly with a 65 Beyer Figure. (4) FAHRENHEIT gets a slight class drop and can peak in this third star off the layoff. (7) VICTOR'S DYNASTY cuts back from a route distance and his season debut at this distance was good enough to qualify him as a contender.
