Best Bet –   (4) FANCYSOUL – Race 4
Spot Play – (6) SUMMER LOAD – Race 2
Today's Play: Pick 4 (.20 cents, races 4-7) – 4 / all / 1, 5, 7, 10 / 1, 2, 4 = $21.60

Post time 4:50 p.m.

Race 1 —  (4) SAVVY'S SISTER picked up her first win of the season in her third outing, switching from longer turf races to a sprint on Tapeta. She is down from $10,000 claiming to just $5,000, looking for more cash.  (3) J M R BOLD VISION led late in her most recent at six furlongs and both of her wins came at this shorter distance.  (6) BRING DA FUDGE has won two straight with Patrick Husbands and she shortens to five furlongs and hopes for pace to run at again.  (1) REDHAIR N FRECKLES won her maiden at this five furlong distance two starts back before trying tougher on turf.

Race 2 —  This is an evenly matched maiden claiming race but (6) SUMMER LOAD gets the slight nod as he showed more in his latest when dropping to this class level and returning to a main track sprint. He runs from off the pace.  (4) WASAGA has a license to wake up in his third career race as he drops sharply in class for the Robert Tiller barn.  (2) VERRAZANO NARROWS also drops to a new low level for another Hall of Fame trainer, Roger Attfield.  (8) WHIZMO was fourth two starts back in a quick race and a repeat of that effort gets him a share.

Race 3 —  (5) COLTONS DREAM has a 'triple advantage' over his rivals in this maiden claiming race; his last three Beyer Figures are higher than the last three of any of his competitors. He has speed and was just softened up a bit last time by pressing a quick pace while wide. He will be fine on turf or Tapeta.  (7) TIZ ROMANTIC was second in a turf sprint two starts back, behind a runaway winner. He drops from $40,000 to $25,000 claiming.  (4) SEA SCOUT has been second or third in his last three races and cutting back to five furlongs works well for him.  (2) BULLET SPEED continues to land in the top three placings as a longtime maiden.

Race 4 —  The Pick 4 wager begins with this maiden race at 1-1/16 miles and (4) FANCYSOUL was expected to win her latest but a miscue at the start put her well behind the slow pace and she could not recover. She was claimed for $15,000 that day and is back for the same price after waiting the month-long 'jail time'.  (3) KNEW AS A BREEZE beat the top pick last time after stalking the slow pace.  (9) CLASSY GIZMO posted her best career Beyer Figure of 62 in her only other try around two turns on the Tapeta and that was last July.  (2) RELENTLESS RUBY was well forward in her second career race off a dull debut and she is improving.

Race 5 —  There are many possibilities in this bottom level maiden race at 1-1/16 miles. I will take the horses coming back in a week, both of whom have really wide trips in a big field.  (6) KOMUNIST lost tons of ground in that race as he started from post 13 and he still tried to gain ground in the stretch run.  (3) SON OF MY FATHER likes to run on the pace but he had a bit of a slow start from post 10 last week and was very wide all the way.  (8) CARROBIO is the wild card as he drops sharply in class and returns to a race on the Tapeta.  (4) GRAND GIZMO was caught late in a race like this Aug. 13.

Race 6 —  You will need to check the changes to see if this one mile turf race comes off grass and is moved to the main track.  (1) AMI'S LINK was entered as a main track only and she comes off a solid second-place finish in her latest at this class level.  (1) COOL SOCIETY has won two of her last three races, all on turf, and she is logical once again.  (7) MOPOLKA is a New York shipper for trainer Linda Rice and she is getting a big class drop. She would be one of a few pace runners in the field.  (5) DESERT POEM comes off her best race of the season and has back class.

Race 7 —  (2) TEXT ME UP looks very strong in this race as she was second in her first two races of the season including a near miss at this 1-1/16 mile distance on Tapeta.  (4) BAYOU BELLE drops down to a new low level for the powerful combination of owners Al and Bill Ulwelling and trainer Kevin Attard.  (1) TAKE CHARGECHRISTY won her two races on the main track at this distance in 2019 but has been racing on turf all year. Sovereign Award winning apprentice of 2020 Mauricio Malvaez is on board.  (3) CANDY'S DREAM  had a nice win at this distance last time from off a slow pace.

Race 8 —  It has been two years since (5) TUSCAN DAMSEL raced, and won, so this is a guessing game but she drops right down in class. Back in Oct. 2019 she was second to eventual champion filly Artie's Princess.  (7) MATTHAUS was strong on the pace when winning last time with a solid 67 Beyer Figure.  (9) TARA DAWN looks good off her win two starts back and you can ignore the grass outing last time.  (1) SEA ANNA DREAM was up for second last time behind the favoured, front running winner.
