Best Bet - (2) ACE BI - Race 3
Spot Play - (2) RAMBARAN ROSE - Race 7

Race 1 - (4) DOUBLE DOWN DUKE is in top form with three seconds and a win in his past five. That places him on top of this bunch. (9) TEETER got too hot on the lead last out and was caught down the lane. He scored two back and appears to be a major player here. (3) PRIVATE SCOTT shows grit every start, especially in his win four back from eighth at the half; he shouldn’t be discounted.

Race 2 - (3) RECKLESS FOOL is a steady improver who finally gets a better post after three starts from the eight hole. Top call. (4) BUTTERCUP WILL finished second last out in a respectable try; that effort trumps most others in this field. (7) PATRICIA MAE takes a large drop in class and could pop if the trip is right.

Race 3 - (2) ACE BI excelled at this level three and four starts previous. Now he drops after some solid outings against tougher; he should take this. (6) ANGELS KID gets Reg Gassien and easier foes, which should spell a competitive mile for the gelding. (4) KEN KAN WIN should hang around for a share again with another good steer from Johnson.

Race 4 - (7) BETTOR MOVE OVER gave two strong efforts against similar in her last two. Post seven is a challenge, but she appears to be up for it. (5) BELLE BEACH gets minor post help as she takes on these foes for the second time. I’ll back her underneath at a price. (1) WINDSUN ARIA can use the rail to grab a slice after some encouraging attempts two and three back.

Race 5 - (6) YNOTHOS is tough to pick against based on her recent tries versus similar. She looked a cut above the last time she appeared for a $7000 tag. (4) DRY CREEK IMAGE gave a tenacious first-up effort last time and demands respect based on that. The move inside helps matters. (2) BAD NIGHT MARE surprised with a big move on July 11, falling just short, and a wire-to-wire win three starts previous. She’s always one to consider in this class.

Race 6 - (1) MACHO POLO is two for his past two and now gets the inside draw. He’s the one to beat, but (3) BET ON BRETT should present a challenge with the drop in class. He has been able to hang with Mohawk horses on a few occasions, so he’s worth considering here. (7) BRICKMAN has also done well at this level recently, but post seven is a tough ask in a competitive bunch.

Race 7 - (2) RAMBARAN ROSE is well-spotted here, and she gets an inside draw as well as Nick Boyd. She has the upper hand tonight. (5) ROSE ISLAND AGGIE could complete the Rose Exactor with a nice trip from post five. Her recent lines show she can hold her own at this level. (7) CENTURY FATIMA notched her first win of 2020 at Dresden last out. She may be able to sneak in with a workable trip.

Race 8 - (1) MACHAPELO seems to be the best in the field based on his previous efforts. Doug Brown has this gelding on the right track. (4) NATES BUCKY should be competitive if he’s on his game; Tom Riley will likely be looking to have him firing first off the claim. (7) HOLY CHIP showed improvement last out; he can hit the board again at a good price.

Race 9 - (8) FOUR FOR ORR is in superb nick currently - he’s won three of his past five and placed in the other two. Reg Gassien is just the man to send him from post eight and take another victory. (4) ST LADS CAPTAIN finally gets some post relief, and that may see him change tactics. If so, he’s possible tonight. (3) DANA SALAAM is typically competitive and should have a late move to take a share.

Race 10 - (9) PRIVILEGE also sports several recent victory lane visits in June, and he could bag another with a good early striking spot here. (2) REDHOT N SPORTY got off the schneid this year with a win last out. I’ll play her underneath, expecting a continuation of form. (4) BALLPARKFRANK has plenty of gate speed and could get away from them if left unbothered.
