Race 1 – (1) STORMONT TIMBIT lands in a great spot to notch a repeat win, but her price is likely to be puny. (3) KING OF HEARTS should improve sharply here if he stays flat; Exacta factor. (5) SHES A BENTLEY has some races at Kawartha Downs that would make her competitive with these, but I’ll tread lightly here with her coming off a vet scratch.
Race 2 – (4) MOLLIE Z TAM racked up several wins at Hiawatha Horse Park this summer and she appears to have found a good spot to continue her winning ways here; top call. (1) GREY BELL gets major post relief here and she should get put into this race early; using. (2) MA REBELLE gets some class relief here dropping into a claimer and she should be heard from.
Race 3 – (5) CLOTHIER HANOVER has already beaten better than these at Mohawk Park this summer and it’s hard to go past him here. (6) JOHNNYS REVENGE is in great form and he is the most likely benefactor if the choice should slip up. (3) KNICKERS should be coming on late for another share here.
Race 4 – (2) MAE BELLE DUKE raced decently from outside posts now she gets a good draw here; she is the one to beat. (1) PRIVATE DI is another who draws better and who should wake up in this spot; using. (6) SPORTS ICON faces better while shooting for a third straight win. Respect her sharp current form.
Race 5 – (4) TAILS AWAY was first up in a quick third 1/4 last time and he hung in there for 3rd. He has a good shot vs. these. (5) AMERICAN ASSASSIN faces much easier here and he is almost guaranteed to wake up in this spot; using in the Pick 4. (6) BETTER EARL always puts himself in the race early and that gives him a chance to win most starts. He’s not out of this.
Race 6 – (5) HERCULE J M moves inside three posts and Young should put him into play this time; top call. (6) STRATOSPHERE exits the same race as the choice where the late pace was strong. He should contend here. (2) PUDDIN PIE has yet to register a win this year but he is competitive. I’ll use him on the bottom of Tris here.
Race 7 – (1) KEEPER CRUISIN drops and draws the best post and aggressive teamster Kelly should fly off the car with him here and try to take these all the way on the engine. (8) FOXWOOD BILLY also drops in for a tag and he has enough gate speed to get away well here; using. (6) LARRY IS DEBS ROCK has also been facing tougher recently. He should fare better here, and his price should be good. (5) SOUTHWIND JERRY and (7) KID GENIUS are good ones to use in the 3-4-5 slots in the High-5.
Race 8 – (5) GIRL WITH ATTITUDE lands in a much better spot here and she should be forwardly-placed early by driver Shepherd; slight nod. (2) JULIASPRECIOUSGIRL raced tough last time and she is probably getting closer to her second win now. Toss her in this Pick 4. (1) CREDIT TO BURN should be passing some of these late to land in the Tri.
Race 9 – (5) WAIKIKI HANOVER has a good chance to clear these and grab the lead before the 1/4 which would make her tough to catch. (2) BRED FOR GREATNESS was right there two starts back when he drew inside but he has 11 slices against only two wins this year; your call. (1) XTATIC HANOVER can sit a trip and stick around for a smaller share.
Race 10 – (3) PRETTY N WELL’s best races of 2019 have come in the past month and she stacks up well here; top call. (2) ROSE RUN UNCLEBUCK can get a better trip here and that may be all it takes to land him in the winner’s circle; using. (6) RADICAL ROY has been very good at Grand River lately and he’s hard to toss considering his current sharpness. (4) CD MAX shoots for three straight but faces tougher; small share predicted. (7) CONFESSION SESSION should pass a few of these late and make it into the top 5.
