Best Bet – (6) TUGGINONCREDIT – Race 1
Spot Play – (2) GA SPEED SAMMY – Race 6
Early Pick 4 – 1/2,4,5,7/1,2,3,4/2 = $3.20
Late Pick 4 – 5,6/4,7,9/2,5,7/1,4,5,7,9 = $18
Race 1 – (6) TUGGINGONCREDIT was a sharp winner on debut and she just looks faster than these right now, top call at a short price. (2) SOLID MAN is the other one in here coming off a debut win and he should get a good following trip behind the choice; using underneath. (4) MALVOLIO exits a quick Georgian Downs race and improvement is likely here.
Race 2 – (6) MOHEGAN BLUE CHIP should clear to the front quickly in this short field and get the jump on main rival (2) HOPETOBEFIRST, who will be the one to fend off late. Slight nod to the former. (4) MACHAPELO is always in the mix and is a good one to use underneath in this spot.
Race 3 – (1) TALBOTCREEK SUZIE takes a big class plunge here and she is another likely short-priced winner early in this card. (7) Y S SUZANNE is the other class-dropper and she could provide some Exactor value starting from out there. (3) BATTING STATS figures to get a good trip racing near the front and stick around for a share.
Race 4 – (2) ROSE RUN SLIDER had an impossible trip last week and getting an inner post here should make a big difference; top call. (5) THE GIRLS OF IMAGE will be tough here if she can produce the same potent late kick that she showed last time; using in the early Pick 4. (4) CHOREOGRAPHER steps up off the claim but that was a solid effort and he’s not out of this.
Race 5 – Interesting race with a few live chances signed on. I’ll side with (3) LUKE AND DUKE coming in off a lifetime-best score at Mohawk Park when claimed. (1) BEACH RUNNER A M could fall into a golden trip here leaving from the rail; using at a price. (2) THE ROADIES is always a threat, but he could get pointed to the front and set things up for a passing lane pocket rocket.
Race 6 – (2) G A SPEED SAMMY comes off a remarkable winning effort where he was out the route from post seven. He’s hard to go against starting from a better post with an easier journey projected. (9) D GS FAIRYSTARS has some back lines that make her competitive here at a price. (8) MITT JAGGER could get aggressive early here on the class drop and he may provide some exotics value.
Race 7 – The best ones are lined up outside in this handicap race – as it should be - and of those, I’ll side with (6) PASADENA STAR who should be looking to go right down the road. (5) WILDWILD MEN can leave and sit and that could make him very dangerous if he lands in the pocket here. (8) NEON LIGHTS is an obvious contender on paper, but post position could do him in this time.
Race 8 – Tough race with so many showing gait issues. (7) TRIOMPHE DUHARAS showed explosive speed at times racing at Trois Rivieres and I’ll take a flyer with him here. (9) THE MAGIC OF LIFE is obviously a contender but it’s hard to predict how he will react to starting in the second tier coming off a break in stride. (4) JOHNNYS REVENGE is 0 for 17 but he has faced tougher. I’ll use him in this late Pick 4.
Race 9 - 2) MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS lands in a good spot here and he should be gunning for the front immediately; top call. (7) SAULSBROOK PEACH should also be leaving here and these two could be 1-2 throughout. (5) DINNER AT THE MET is the wild card here. He can be very, very good or the exact opposite. I’ll toss him in the Pick 4 in case the sound and fast Dinner At The Met shows up.
Race 10 – (1) PLAY GUNS chased a very fast pace last time and she understandably tired late. The early fractions in this race project to be in her favor and she could pop at a price. (4) LOCK THE DOOR exits some quick dashes and he is another Pick 4 contender in this finale. (5) ARRHYTHMOGENIC and (7) GLOBAL SUPREMACY both closed into a slowing late pace and they will likely be over bet here based on their finish positions alone. (9) SUNSHINE LOU can sneak onto the High-5 or Super if he stays flat.
