The first Ontario Thoroughbred meet of 2022 is six weeks away, and Ontario Racing is launching a new series, Ontario Breds Abroad to get race fans excited for the upcoming summer meets at Woodbine and Fort Erie.

The seven-year-old gelding won his first Gr. 1 and third career graded stakes in epic fashion. Flavien Pratt executed a stellar trip, settling off the pace at the rail, before angling out at the three-sixteenths, and closing from fifth at the straight to win in a photo.

San Luis Rey Stakes Gr. 3 – Santa Anita – One-and-one-half Miles – Turf – March 12
 
He wrapped his 2021 campaign in November by winning the Gr. 2 Hollywood Turf Cup at Del Mar, and started 2022 with a third-place in the Gr. 2 San Marcos at Santa Anita in January. A formidable closer, he was second by 3/4 of a length in this race last year, and posted an Equibase speed figure of 113.
