Since the possibility of a strike by employees at Canada Post has been put on hold for at least 30 days, Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) cheques will be mailed as usual. Owners' cheques are mailed on the 8th day after the race; driver, trainer and breeder cheques are mailed during the first week of the month for the previous month's races.
OSS cheques were left at the Mohawk Race Office last Thursday because of the possibility of a postal strike. Any cheques that were not picked up have now been mailed to the addressees. No further OSS cheques will be available for pick up at the Mohawk Race Office unless there is a postal disruption at some later date.
