It will be a dust-up at Ajax Downs on Thursday afternoon for Twilight racing as the first Survivor Handicapping Contest begins before race 3.
Contestants who enter the contest, for a fee of $10, will pick a horse and a substitute horse, in races 3 through 7 and based on a $2 win and place bet, will gather a total. The top three finishers after the seventh race will be awarded prizes of $300,$150 and $50.
All proceeds will go to the Rouge Valley Health System.
Racing fans will also have a chance to meet legendary Canadian jockeys Sandy Hawley and Francine Villeneuve who will be on hand to take the races. There is also a free concert at 7 p.m.
Post time for the first of seven races is 3:45 p.m. So start handicapping and come and enter the Survivor Handicapping Contest!
