5 Things You Need to Know About Jaimi Fellows
(PHOTO - JAIMI FELLOWS (AT RIGHT) HAS BEEN ON AIR AT AJAX DOWNS FOR TWO YEARS ALONGSIDE MADDIE-JO TILLEY)

Jaimi Fellows has been working as an on-air analyst at Ajax Downs for two years, offering fans insight on each horse from the walking ring. She was in a front of a camera as a child model and began her horse racing television work with Woodbine Entertainment four years ago. Between broadcasting work, Jaimi also flies with an airline. Here are more interesting things we found out:

OR -  What is your favourite meal?

JF - Anything Mexican!  I absolutely love fajitas, especially from Lone Star.  Usually I fill up on the chips and salsa but there is always room for more.  Other than Mexican, I love desserts; ice cream cake every once in a while, is a must!

OR - What was the last movie you saw?

JF - The last movie I watched was “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates”.  It was pretty funny and I love comedy movies.

OR -  Starbucks or Tim Hortons? (or neither) why?

JF - I don't drink coffee so I can't say one is better than the other for that, however for other things I prefer Tim Hortons.  I can't resist Tim's chili and of course, a maple dip donut now and then.

OR  - Do you have any hobbies, things you love to do when away from working?

JF - I love travelling. I work for an airline so I'm basically on another continent every week between our TV broadcasts at Ajax.
I love seeing the world through the eyes of locals when I travel.  Expanding my knowledge of different cultures and history is important to me.  I feel as if I'm in my element when I'm travelling and experiencing new things.
I love the ocean as well. My Dad and I got our scuba diving licenses together when I was 16 and it was the best experience.  This past winter when I was in Belize with my husband Curtis MacDonald, we got the chance to swim with sharks; it was amazing.  Hopefully one day I'll make it into a shark cage to go diving but until then I'll settle for short trips to the ocean with my snorkel mask.

OR-  Do you have a favourite destination or place you really want to go and why?

JF - One of my favorite places I've travelled to Venice, Italy
I tend to see pictures of places and build them up in my head and once I get there, I'm kind of let down because of over imagining them.  Venice absolutely blew me away. The history, grace and peacefulness of this city is amazing. However, you do A LOT of walking and get lost in all the little alleyways throughout the street and canals.  It has been one of the best experiences I've had travelling.
A place I really want to travel to is Cape Town, South Africa. In South Africa, I would love to go on The Big Five Safari. This is a safari that introduces you to Africa's top 5 most dangerous animals; The lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros and leopard. I think it would [a great] journey to visit and see these amazing creatures in nature.

 Thank you Jaimi!
