The red and gold silks of Sam-Son Farm are synonymous with horse racing excellence in Canada and beyond.

Stationed in Milton, Ontario, Sam-Son Farm was started by the late Ernest Samuel when he claimed his first horse in 1972. In 1975, he purchased a pair of yearling fillies, No Class and Loudrangle, who would become the foundation of the highly decorated Sam-Son breeding program. Sam-Son Farm has earned over 70 Sovereign Awards during its time in the sport, including a remarkable nine Horse of the Year honours.

Sam-Son continues to be run by the Samuel family and boasts two divisions: the broodmare division in Canada and a 160-acre training facility in Florida.

Some of the top Sam-Son stars include Classy n' Smart, Sky Classic, Dance Smartly, Silken Cat, Chief Bearheart, Quiet Resolve, Dancethruthedawn, Soaring Free and Deceptive Vision.

Sam-Son Farm has won Canada's most famous race, the Queen's Plate, five times, and recognized as the country’s top owner and breeders on six occasions each. Up With the Birds (pictured) was Horse of the Year in 2013.

In 2016, Sam-Son won 24 races from 116 starts, along with nearly $1.5 million in earnings.
